Man United’s Campbell On His ‘Great Loan Move’ To Tottenham, But Unlikely To Sign Permanently For Spurs
Exciting young striker Fraizer Campbell is looking to gain first-team experience in his season’s loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur, and return to Manchester United in future.
The 20-year-old went to the White Hart Lane as part of the deal that saw the Red Devils capturing their top summer target Dimitar Berbatov from Spurs on transfer deadline day.
Campbell, who revealed that he had a series of meetings with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson before agreeing to leave Old Trafford, told BBC London 94.9: "I've had various meetings with him and I'm in his plans for the future.
"Hopefully I can get some experience, come back and get a place in his team."
The England Under-21 international, who formerly had a loan spell at Hull City, is now excited to be a part of the north-London club, and is looking to help Spurs in their new-look attack following the departures of star strikers Robbie Keane to Liverpool and of course Berbatov.
"It's an exciting time for me, it's a great loan move that I've managed to get on," he said.
"Hopefully I can get in the team and hold down a regular first-team place and score a few goals, but most importantly learn from the experience."
He added: "I enjoyed my time at Hull and I'm thankful to all the people there but this is a new season and I have to concentrate on my new loan club."
