Manchester United's capture of promising striker Davide Petrucci, who is labelled as ‘new Francesco Totti’ has left Italian outfit, AS Roma fuming.
The Red Devils reportedly lured the Italy under-17 international with £95,000 a year, while he would have got £16,000 a year at Roma, who reportedly stand to get around £200,000 in compensation.
Italian newspaper, Il Romanista said: "It is a nightmare. Manchester United have dealt us another low blow, stealing Petrucci from under our noses, probably the best product of our youth system. In three to four years, he will be worth 100 times as much."
The 16-year-old scored 14 goals in 19 matches last season and was the top scorer in Roma's youth team.
