Man United Boss Ferguson Firm On Quit Stance If Ronaldo Leaves For Real Madrid

It has been labelled as the potential transfer of the century, but it is certainly turning out to be the transfer saga of the summer as Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reiterated the quit threat pertaining to the possible move of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

Ferguson has vowed to keep the Portuguese star at Old Trafford, as he recently declared that the 23-year-old will be with the Red Devils when the 2008-09 kicks on, but Ronaldo has not yet pledged his future to the Premiership giants.

In the meanwhile, Real are getting frustrated with coach Bernd Schuster coming out in the open to suggest to the sensational wide-man to make his decision soon enough so that the Spanish giants can plan their further strategy.

Now the experienced Scottish tactician, Ferguson has once again been reported to have threatened to leave the club that he has served for 22 years, if a transfer for Ronaldo is granted, after earlier claiming that the club owners Glazers, are also in favour of keeping the player.

"If Ronaldo leaves, I'm going too," Fergie is quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper Marca.
