Man City Target Atletico Madrid’s Aguero As ‘Kun’ Warms Up For Liverpool Trip
Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is reported to be a £35million-target for Premiership outfit Manchester City.
The 20-year-old Argentine international has progressed brilliantly since Spain ace Fernando Torres left Atletico for Liverpool in 2007 summer, and is apparently also watched by European powerhouse Inter Milan, and was in the past offered to Liverpool but Rafa Benitez did not sign him then as he was too young.
However, City, who with all their riches had signed Robinho in summer for British transfer record fee from Real Madrid, are linked with a new record as News of the World reports that City manager Mark Hughes is certain to land Aguero in £35million offer.
The Eastlands club can watch Aguero from close quarters as Atletico travel to Liverpool for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with coach Javier Aguirre delighted with the former Independiente ace’s form as ‘Kun’ got two goals in their victory over Real Mallorca.
