Man City To Swoop For Inter's Recoba
Manchester City are reportedly interested in former Uruguayan International Alvaro Recoba from Serie A champions Inter Milan.
32-year-old Recoba has been at the San Siro since joining from Uruguayan club Nacional in 1997, and has made 176 appearances for the Nerazzurri, but the attacking-midfielder spent last season on loan at Serie A rivals Torino, and is deemed surplus to requirements by new Inter boss Jose Mourinho.
Blues manager Mark Hughes is believed to be interested in the playmaker, who played 69 times for Uruguay, along with three other clubs - Portuguese side Porto, and Brazilian clubs Internacional de Porto Alegre and Atlectico Paranaense - according to sources Italy.
Should the Uruguayan make the switch to the Eastlands Stadium, he would be City’s third signing this summer following the arrival of Brazilian International Jo from CSKA Moscow, for a club record transfer fee of £19million (€23.8m) and Marcello Trotta from S.S.C Napoli.
