Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is unsure as to what duration defender Nedum Onuoha will spend on the sidelines after a dislocated shoulder and a wrist problem.

The England Under-21 captain suffered the setback in weekend’s defeat to Chelsea at the City of Manchester Stadium.

"The shoulder was dislocated and then went back in," said Eriksson.

"It was very painful and there is a wrist problem as well, he is in hospital and we don't know how he is just yet.

"It's a shame because he stood up to Chelsea today and had played excellently before then."
