Man City’s Eriksson Positive On Benjani Deal

Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson remains quietly confident that Benjani will be a City player by Monday or Tuesday.

The Citizens’ move for the Portsmouth striker failed to get through on the final day of January transfer window apparently as City’s paperwork could not be completed in time. However, the move is still alive with the Premier League reviewing the situation.

Asked about the latest on the move for the Zimbabwe international, Eriksson however sounded blunt, saying that he does not know the latest as he has been focused on their preparations for the clash against Arsenal. However, the Swede feels the decision “one way or the other” will be made early next week.
