Manchester City have reportedly approached Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is the coach of Portugal, through his representatives over taking charge at the City of Manchester Stadium from Sven-Goran Eriksson in close season.
According to the BBC Sport, City owner Thaksin Shinawatra wants a swift answer from 59-year-old Scolari, who is reportedly set to be offered a deal worth £3.2m-a-year.
The Brazilian is however, focussed on his job with Portugal with this summer’s Euro Championship fast approaching.
Eriksson, meanwhile, is set to be sacked at the end of the season despite taking the club to a top half finish after taking over last summer.
