Man City Eye Bridge & Chelsea Interested In Richards, Premiership Big-Spenders Target Atletico’s Aguero
Cash-rich Premiership rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are apparently set to clash in the transfer market with both clubs reported to be eyeing players from rival camps, and a common target in Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
City, who after their summer takeover by Abu Dhabi-based group have dwarfed the riches of Roman Abramovich-owned Blues, are said to be eyeing Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge as a possible January transfer target. It is claimed by the Telegraph, that any move may be complicated by Chelsea’s ongoing interest in England youngster Micah Richards.
It is also reported that City as well as Chelsea had representatives at Atletico’s Champions League victory over Marseille last week watching Aguero, who scored in the game. That despite Atletico president Enrique Cerezo revealing that the 20-year-old Argentina international is not for sale.
