Liverpool's Crouch Seals Deal With Redknapp's Portsmouth - Spurs' Keane & Villa's Barry To Join Reds?

Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Aston Villa Premiership Transfer News

England striker Peter Crouch has signed for Harry Redknapp’s Portsmouth after passing a medical earlier today. Crouch has left Liverpool Football Club in a deal that could be worth a total of £11million for Rafa Benitez’s side.

27-year-old Crouch, who joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2005 for £7million, has scored 22 goals in 85 appearances for Liverpool.

Liverpool will receive £8.5 million up-front for Crouch, with the rest of the fee to come over the next two seasons, as long as Pompey maintain their Premiership status during that time.

Liverpool will now have freed more funds in their pursuit of Aston Villa skipper Gareth Barry, who looks close to sealing an £18million move from The Villans, and Tottenham Hotspur and Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane, who is said to be willing to make a move to Anfield this summer.
