Liverpool v West Ham Premiership Preview – The Reds Eye Top Spot After Leaders Chelsea Lose To Arsenal
Rafa Benitez’s Liverpool take on Gianfranco Zola’s West Ham United in the Premiership at Anfield on Monday night.
With the title race looking like it will be going right down to the wire, Liverpool will look for the win against the Hammers and open up a three-point lead over title-rivals Chelsea, who lost to Arsenal 1-2 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Benitez’s side have been unbeaten at Anfield so far this season, and the Reds have never lost to the Londoners at home in the league.
The Hammers, meanwhile, were boosted by last weekend’s win at Sunderland and will come to the Merseyside club trying to get something out of the game.
The Reds are without striker Fernando Torres (hamstring) and full-back Fabio Aurelio (calf) as such Robbie Keane will be up front along with Dirk Kuyt, while left-back Andrea Dossena is expected to get a start.
For the Hammers, there are no new injury problems and Italian tactician Zola has ample of options to pick his side from.
