Liverpool are reportedly hoping to sell attacker Anthony Le Tallec as he has not been able to deliver the goods for the Merseysiders.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 22-year-old French misfit has been linked with Birmingham City and Fulham of late.

The Reds had signed the France U-21 international, who had been impressive in his youth team outings in the FIFA and UEFA competitions, from Le Havre with Florent Sinama-Pongolle in 2002 in a joint deal which was worth up to £7m.

Le Tallec has seen most of his career spent on loan, at Le Havre, St Etienne, Sunderland and Sochaux.
