According to Spanish daily Marca, Liverpool have made a £13.5million offer for Real Madrid striker Julio Baptista.
The Brazilian international had spent last season on loan at Arsenal and the Gunners did not take the option of making him permanent at the end of the season with the 25-year-old returning back to the Bernabeu.
According to the paper, Real are willing to sell Baptista and Roberto Soldado to fund a move for over £25m rated right-back Daniel Alves of Sevilla.
The Reds are now linked with Baptista, who was the wrecker-in-chief during Arsene Wenger’s side scoring a 6-3 Carling Cup win at Anfield in January.
