Liverpool are reportedly set to sign teenage midfielder Mihail Alexandrov from CSKA Sofia.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 18-year-old will follow his compatriot Nikolay Mikhailov, who is Bulgarian U-21 keeper, on Merseyside.

The Reds boss Rafa Benitez is quite happy to reinforce the youth sides and reserves. He said: “They are players for the future who will hopefully settle in and develop.”

Last week, 19-year-old Nikolay Mikhailov arrived from Levski Sofia, and was followed by the capture of 18-year-old full-back Mikel San Jose from Athletic Bilbao.

Liverpool have also signed up 16-year-old striker Dani Pacheco from Barcelona. He joins Alex Kacaniklic, Marvin Purie, Mikel San Jose, Nikolai Mikhailov, Krisztian Nemeth and Andras Simon.
