Liverpool’s Benitez Admits Receiving “Interesting Phone Calls” On Transfer Targets – To Sign New Players Before Training Starts
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has disclosed that he is receiving “interesting phone calls” in relation to this summer’s transfer activities and insisted that the fans need not panic that he has not begun the much-anticipated revamp at Anfield.
The Reds, who are poised to welcome the first batch of players for pre-season training on Thursday, would like to bring in the new players before they start training, according to Benitez.
"We have a number of targets, and I am receiving interesting phone calls all the time," said the Spaniard.
"We are monitoring situations all the time and there is no urgency yet. If we bring in players from Spain, they only finished playing a week ago so they will need a longer break, but I would like somebody in before we start pre-season training."

right well Rafa has to get his sights in the right place! well Torres what a signing that will be Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano wil feed him goals all day then Mancini wonderful wing player better than Malouda and then G Milito gd signing we need Alves Finnan's been doin the right back job with no competition for too long and i reckon we need another striker if we're going to lose Bellamy and that should be Bent or Forlan?let me know what you think
