Liverpool’s interest in wingers has shifted from Simao Sabrosa to Florent Malouda and now back to the Portuguese international after Lyon rated France World Cup star at £17million, according to Liverpool Echo.

Benfica’s Sabrosa, who has been a long-time target for the Reds, is now reportedly the prime property for the Reds boss Rafa Benitez, who is eager to begin the signing process for the next season.

Benitez was hoping that he could sign 27-year-old Malouda for £8million, however with big-spending Chelsea and Premiership rivals Arsenal also in the hunt, the French champions are holding out for a big-money deal.
