Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly planning an offer for Lyon’s wantaway winger
Florent Malouda.

The 26-year-old France international, who was named the French player of the year after helping Lyon to the Ligue 1 title victory, is said to be one of the two Reds potential number 1 targets from £8-10million bracket.

The left-winger, who would replace out-of-contract Bolo Zenden, is expected to cost at least around £9m.

Benitez, who had urged the board to begin the spending following the Champions League final defeat to AC Milan, is also reportedly keen on West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez.
