Liverpool & Australia Star Harry Kewell Linked To Transfer To Greek Champions Olympiakos

Liverpool Football News Liverpool Premiership Transfer News

Harry Kewell has been on the possible targets of Greece Champions Olympiakos FC, after Liverpool's boss signed some world class players for the new season.

According to Greek media reports the Liverpool and Australia international, who has still a year left in his contract with the Reds, has a clause of approximately £1.5 million (about €2.5 million) which Olympiakos are seriously considering paying to Liverpool in order to sign the Socceroo.

The Greek team are under pressure to deliver some good results in the upcoming Champions League group stage, after a disappointing appearance in last season's tournament.

Following the news that a deal has not yet been reached with the team's striker Neri Castillo, who scored some impressive goals during the Copa America tournament in Venezuela, the team may well be looking to offset Kewell's fee from a possible deal with an English or European Club for Castillo.
