Liverpool Player Injury and Suspension News
Javier Mascherano is still suspended for Saturday’s Arsenal game even as Liverpool lodge an appeal to get the two-match additional ban on the midfielder reduced.
The Argentina international, who had earlier missed one game due to automatic suspension, had been handed more punishment yesterday by the FA of two game ban and £15,000 fine for the improper conduct charge following his reaction to being sent off at Manchester United on Easter Sunday.
Liverpool spokesman said: "We have put in the appeal and requested that the penalty not be set aside pending the outcome.
"Consequently Javier is suspended for tomorrow's game at Arsenal."
