Leroy Lita Recalled By Reading From Loan Spell At Charlton
With Reading in danger of relegation, boss Steve Coppell has revealed that he has recalled striker Leroy Lita from his loan stint with Charlton.
Lita had joined the Addicks on a short loan deal in March that was later extended until the end of the season. However, with Alan Pardew's side now out of contention for the play-offs and the Royals facing the risk of falling into drop zone, the 23-year-old, who scored three goals for Charlton, has been called back to add the vital firepower to their struggling attack.
Coppell said: "Leroy has been playing regular football for Charlton and will be raring to go. It was an obvious decision to make given the fact that we've not scored lately.
"I made the call to Alan Pardew late on Saturday. We agreed it would be beneficial to us to bring Leroy back now that it's mathematically impossible for Charlton to get into the play-offs."
