Leighton Baines Says Yakubu & Thomas Gravesen Arrivals Have Livened Up Everton – Baines May Stay Clear Of Gravesen

According to Leighton Baines, Everton dressing room is buzzing more than before with new signings Yakubu and Thomas Gravesen moving to Goodison Park in close season.

The England U-21 full-back, who joined the Toffees from Wigan Athletic earlier in the summer, hailed a nice blend of experience and new players at Everton.

David Moyes captured Yakubu for club record fee of £11.25m from Middlesbrough while Gravesen has arrived on a season-long loan from Celtic.

“Everything is looking really fresh,” Baines told evertonTV. “There is a good mix of new players and lads who have been here for a while.

“I have just met Thomas for the first time today and it was like I have known him for a long time the way he introduced himself.

“I have heard stories about him and I am looking forward to working with him. But maybe I will stay clear of him."
