Latest On Van Persie, Gallas & Sagna As Arsenal Prepare For Everton Test
Arsenal forward Robin van Persie has recovered from his hamstring injury while skipper William Gallas is in a race against time to gain full fitness after a thigh injury, with Arsene Wenger’s side to host Everton on Saturday in the Premiership. Gunners’ French right-back Bakary Sagna is also hoping to shake off a knee injury in time for the Emirates Stadium clash against the Toffees.
van Persie missed Holland's World Cup qualifier against Iceland on Saturday, but is in contention to feature against Norway on Wednesday, however, the final decision is with Netherlands manager Bert van Marwijk.
van Persie said: "I am available, and now we have to wait and see whether the coach needs me."
France defender Gallas had missed out on France’s World Cup qualifier against Romania with a small tear in his thigh. The former Chelsea player is now recovering having withdrawn from Les Bleus’ squad for Tuesday’s friendly against Tunisia.
Arsenal have failed to win a league game in their last two attempts and have to bounce back to keep themselves in touch with the top.
