Doubts have crept in on whether Italian champions Inter Milan have pulled out from the race to land West Ham United attacker Carlos Tevez.

The Serie A giants seem to be having second thoughts at the moment after recent reports had claimed their president Massimo Moratti has entered talks to bring the 23-year-old Argentina striker to the Giuseppe Meazza.

On Tevez, who is also linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea but is known to prefer a switch to Italy, Moratti said: "He is no longer our objective. We are fine as we are in attack."

Moratti’s statement comes after Inter captured David Suazo from Cagliari. Also what could have come in as a pointer with respect to the prevalent situation was Tevez’s international team-mate Hernan Crespo telling the club that they have lot of strikers.

Adriano, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Julio Cruz apart from Crespo form Inter’s attack and now add Suazo to it.

Moratti reacted to Crespo’s advice, saying: "Crespo's declarations weren't interpreted well, but the Argentine may be right when he says there are too many of us in attack. However, our buying and selling hasn't finished yet."
