Liverpool have announced that young striker Besian Idrizaj has completed a transfer deadline move to Austrian side Wacker Tirol, last night.

The 20-year-old Austria U-21 international, who had joined the Reds in 2005 from Lask Linz, was sent on loan to Luton Town and Crystal Palace. He however left for his homeland in the January transfer window after appearing close to a move to Oldham Athletic.

The Reds said on the official website: “It had seemed as though Idrizaj - who had spent this season on loan with Crystal Palace - was on his way to Oldham Athletic before a late change of heart instead saw him return to his homeland with Tirol.”
