Hull's Boateng A Doubt For Blackburn Clash
Hull City midfielder George Boateng is in a race to be fit for the Tigers Premier League match against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
32-year-old Boateng picked up a thigh injury in the 2-1 win over Fulham at the KC Stadium last weekend. With the Dutchman not able to train with the rest of the Hull squad in the last few days and is a major doubt for Hull boss Phil Brown ahead of the clash at Ewood Park.
“He didn't train yesterday, he'll be with the physiotherapist for the next few days,” Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
“We'll assess the situation on Thursday where George is concerned.
“It's his thigh mainly but this is a guy who almost went off in a neck brace and then collapsed needing oxygen in the changing room.
“That's testimony to the player and that typified the performance of the whole team.
“He's reported in with a thigh strain, but that's not the only little niggle he's got.”
