Hull City To Break Club Record For Johnson?
Premier League debutantes Hull City are considering a swoop for Cardiff City defender Roger Johnson as Tigers boss Phil Brown looks to add to his squad that has already looked comfortable in the Premiership, according to reports.
25-year-old Johnson has been with the Bluebirds since joining from Wycombe Wanderers in 2006 and has made 75 appearances for the FA Cup Finalists during his two years at Ninian Park.
However, Cardiff manager David Jones will resist any attempts by the Tigers to bring the defender to the KC Stadium, with it understood that City value the player at £4million.
This would represent a club record for Hull, but even if they were to meet the valuation, the Yorkshire club would face competition from Championship sides Ipswich Town and Birmingham City.
