Hull City To Swoop For Bolton's Davies

Bolton Wanderers, Hull City Premiership Transfer News

Premier League debutantes Hull City are reportedly interested in Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies, with it believed that the Yorkshire club are to make a £2million swoop for the 31-year-old.

It is rumoured that Tigers boss Phil Brown has already been unsuccessful with a £1.5million offer for the former Southampton striker and that it will take an offer in the region of £2million to bring Davies to the KC Stadium.

Brown is keen to partner Davies with his other transfer target Marlon King, who is expected to complete a move from Wigan Athletic soon, as he prepares for the Tigers debut season in the Premiership.

Davies is believed to be keen on leaving the Reebok Stadium to join Hull, with the front-man having worked with Brown before when he was assistant to Sam Allardyce at Bolton.

However, one problem could be Trotters manager Gary Megson’s lack of options up front, having just sold Senegal International El-Hadji Diouf to Sunderland recently.
