Hull City Complete Signing Of Geovanni From Man City
Newly-promoted Hull City have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Geovanni from Premier League rivals Manchester City on a free transfer.
28-year-old Geovanni joined Manchester City in 2007 from Brazilian club Cruizeiro, but was released by The Citizens after a difficult first season in the Premier League.
Tigers boss Phil Brown was quick to express an interest in Geovanni, and the Brazilian will go to the KC Stadium on a two-year deal.
The former Barcelona player will now join his new team mates at the Tigers pre-season training camp in Italy.
Geovanni is Hull’s second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Craig Fagan, with the Yorkshire club close to completing the signings of George Boateng from Middlesbrough and Bernard Mendy from Paris St Germain in France.
