Hull City Closely Watch Chelsea’s Bertrand, Linked With Free Agent Geovanni
Hull City boss Phil Brown has revealed he is undecided on swooping for Chelsea's Ryan Bertrand, while Brazilian midfielder Geovanni is linked with the Tigers after his contract expired at Manchester City.
Left-back Bertrand, 18, who had impressive loan spells at Oldham and Norwich last season, has been watched by Brown as he ponders bolstering the squad for the life in the top flight.
"We've looked at Bertrand on a number of occasions, but we're in the decision making progress of asking 'Can he step up to the Premier League?' as opposed to the Championship last year," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
"There's been no approach from us at this stage."
Geovanni, who had joined City last summer on a one-year deal, could stay in the Premiership despite reports claiming former club Cruzeiro wants to take the 27-year-old back to his homeland.
