Hughes: 'No Contact With Spurs' For Croatian International Corluka
New Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has revealed that there has been no contact from Tottenham Hotspur about Croatian International Vedran Corluka, despite reports suggesting he was on the verge of leaving for White Hart Lane.
22-year-old Corluka joined City from Dynamo Zagreb last summer, with the Croation defender impressing in his debut season in the Premier League at the Eastlands Stadium.
Corluka also impressed recently at EURO 2008 with his performances for the Croatian National team. This had reportedly led Spurs boss Juande Ramos to make a move for the right-back, but according to Hughes no contact has been made by the North London club.
Hughes told the Manchester Evening News: "There has been interest shown.”
”There will always be speculation surrounding good players like him. But he has had no contact with Spurs.”
