Hart Turns Down New Contract At Man City – Report
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has reportedly turned down a new contract and could be a target for the big clubs in the Premiership who are looking to bolster their goalkeeping department in the summer.
City are surrounded by the speculation on the future of manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and the uncertainty has apparently prompted their rivals to keep a close watch on their players including the England Under-21 goalkeeper, who has been a consistent performer for the Eastlands club.
According to the Telegraph, Hart, 21, who has two years to run on his present deal, is currently earning just £5,000 a week, vastly below a number of his contemporaries and though City offered to double that amount Hart believes his performances as a first-team regular merit further reward.
