Portsmouth's Harry Redknapp Unsure On Thiago Motta
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that he may not be able to lure Thiago Motta into joining the Fratton Park side from Atletico Madrid.
The Rojiblancos midfielder insisted that he was looking forward to playing in the Premiership and also put in a good display during his trial at Pompey this weekend.
Impressed with his performance during the trial Portsmouth offered him a permanent deal at the club, however Redknapp is still doubtful that the 26-year old Brazilian International will sign on the dotted line for the South coast side.
Redknapp said: "Motta's been training and I like him.
"Peter's made him an offer.
"I don't know where he's at with him, he deals with contracts. But I'm getting the feeling nothing's going to happen. The lad's had a bad knee injury.
"If his knee's okay he'll be a good player and he's looked good in training.
"I saw him play at Chelsea in the Champions League for Barcelona a few years ago.
"They were fantastic that night and they beat Chelsea.
"He played in the middle of the park. He's a good player.
"I don't think it will happen, though."
