Halftime Update: Fulham 0 - 0 Birmingham City – Tense First Half At Craven Cottage In Relegation Battle
Relegation candidates Fulham and Birmingham City are locked goalless at halftime in their Premier League match at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Both the teams, who are relegation zone victims, will need to press hard for a win in the second-half to retain their place in the Premiership.
The Cottagers enjoy a psychological advantage as they have won three matches out of the last three, while City haven’t recorded a win from their last four games.
Fulham dominated most of the proceedings, creating some deadly moves but somehow the much needed goals were missing.
In the 7th minute Fulham’s Jimmy Bullard took a free kick which setted up Simon Davies who without wasting time unleashed a shot. However City keeper Maik Taylor pushed the deadly shot to safety.
The teams found it hard to create openings since the defence on either side looked solid, hence restricting play to the midfield.
Thrill were produced during the last five minutes of the first half by the home side. Danny Murphy after making a good run squared the ball to Kamara who made good contact with the ball from six-yard, but City’s Radhi Jaidi came up with a timely block to keep the score to 0-0 till the end of the first half.
