Guardiola Tight Lipped On Links With Spurs' Berbatov, Arsenals Adebayor & Chelsea's Drogba

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Arsenal Premiership Transfer News

New Nou Camp coach Pep Guardiola refused to comment on reports linking Barcelona with Emmanuel Adebayor of Arsenal, Chelsea’s Ivory Coast International Didier Drogba or Dimitar Berbatov at Tottenham Hotspur.

Barca have been constantly linked with a big money move for Togolese International Adebayor, with it reported that the Catalan are prepared to meet the Gunners hefty price-tag. However, it is also believed that Barcelona have balked at the strikers wage demands to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Guardiola is also reported to have told Nou Camp favourite Samuel Eto’o to join Spurs, so he can pave the way for Bulgarian International Berbatov to leave White Hart Lane for the La Liga giants.

Chelsea front-man Drogba (left) has also been linked with a move away from the Premier League, with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho keen to bring him to Inter Milan, but Guardiola is also an admirer and sees him as a like-for-like replacement for Eto’o, should he fail to land Berbatov.

Guardiola remained tightlipped on the subject, after his first match in charge of Barca, a 6-0 win over SPL team Hibernian.

“I'm not here to speak about them,” Guardiola said.

“I have many excellent players and I am working with them.

“All good players are interesting and those players are interesting but there are many, many good players, in England, Germany, everywhere.”

When pushed on wether he would be making an offer for any of the three, he replied: "I don't know.”

“The sporting director can talk about that better than me.”
