Germany international midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has claimed that he has his heart set on Bayern Munich and would love to sign a new contract with the club even though he is being targeted by top Premiership clubs.
The 23-year old has not had the perfect time at the club last season with limited starting opportunities at the Allianz Arena and with just one year left on his contract he has attracted the attention of clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.
"I'll be talking to Bayern before I talk to anyone else," he told the club’s official website. “Bayern Munich is my home.”
Schweinsteiger, has recently joined the club in their pre-season training and admitted that he thrilled by the budding talent in Jurgen Klinsmann’s side.
"There's a lot happening, everything's on an upward curve, we're moving in the right direction,” he said.
