Gabriel Heinze Might Yet Have Manchester United Future – Argentine Dismisses Real, Barcelona & Juve Rumours
Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze has dismissed the transfer rumours linking him with a move to La Liga as Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in the Argentina international.
The 29-year-old is however focussed on Copa America and had reportedly said earlier that he would decide on his future on the completion of the continental tournament.
"Nobody at United has told me I'm not wanted next season," Heinze told the Sunday Mirror.
"I have just enjoyed one of the best years in my career (and the team) played sensationally."
He added: "I know rumours of transfer offers have appeared, but that's not a problem for me. My head is with the Argentina team and the Copa America."
Heinze, who is reportedly also on the shopping list of Juventus, largely played second- fiddle to Patrice Evra in the left-back position for United last season. However, towards the latter stages the injury woes at Old Trafford saw Heinze taking a role in central defence, and took his number of appearances last term to 38.
