Futures Of Arsenal’s Gallas & Van Persie Now Under Speculation – Barcelona, PSG & Juventus Linked
Two more Arsenal players – William Gallas and Robin Van Persie – now have their futures under speculation with reports suggesting Barcelona and Paris St Germain are keen on the former; and Juventus said to be interested in the latter.
The Gunners have already lost three key players – Mathieu Flamini (AC Milan), Alex Hleb (Barcelona) and Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos) – this summer, while doubts still persist whether Emmanuel Adebayor will be at Arsene Wenger’s disposal for the next season.
France international Gallas, who has been the Gunners captain since last season but could lose it to Cesc Fabregas for the new season, is reportedly £5m-rated with Spanish giants Barca and French side PSG said to be keeping an eye on the former Chelsea defender.
The News of the World reports Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has identified £15m-rated Dutch star Van Persie as the ideal replacement for Czech attacker Pavel Nedved, who could retire at the end of this season.
The 24-year-old, who had joined Wenger’s side for £3m from Feyenoord in 2004, has a contract with the north-Londoners of until 2011.
