Fulham Close To Swedish International Stoor Deal - Boro's Young Linked

Premier League club Fulham are on the verge of signing Swedish International Fredrik Stoor from Norwegian side Rosenborg.

24-year-old Stoor recently impressed for Sweden at EURO 2008 and has been linked with a move to Craven Cottage all summer, with Fulham manager Roy Hodgson very keen to add the defender to his squad as he looks to improve on last seasons flirt with relegation.

The Cottagers have been in talks with Stoor and Rosenborg for some time now, with Rosenborg director of football Erik Hoftun confirming that Stoor will leave the Lerkendal Stadion shortly.

“We are expecting that it will be settled,” Hoftun told Adresseavisen.

“It's closer than it has ever been.

“Since it has taken a long time, it's best for both the club and the player that the transfer is completed."

Hodgson is also reportedly interested in Middlesbrough right-back Luke Young, but will no doubt be upbeat about being so close to signing one of his top transfer targets this summer.
