Former Man United, Arsenal, Spurs & Man City-Target Santa Cruz Open To Future Move From Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has suggested that he could leave the Ewood Park outfit if given a chance to play for a side who feature in the Champions League and challenge for the Premiership title.

The Paraguayan international was linked with English giants Manchester United and their top-four rivals Arsenal, along with ambitious Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, who had their bids rejected, in the summer, but committed himself to a new deal with Rovers.

On his decision to stay with Paul Ince’s side, the 27-year-old former Bayern Munich star said: "I decided to stay here because I believe in the team and I believe in the club, especially when they gave me the chance to get back to football."

On chances of Rovers going into Champions League and becoming league contenders, he told Setanta Sports: "Realistically I don't think so. We have different goals in this team than in other teams.

"If I have the chance and some people can give me the opportunity then I think it is a thing to discuss. There might still be time for a move, if something is going to happen, it is going to happen."
