Former Liverpool and England International Robbie Fowler Eager To Play In FA Cup Final
Former Liverpool front man Robbie Fowler is eager to leave behind a season filled with injuries and score for his current side Cardiff City in the FA Cup finals on Saturday.
Last summer the former England international moved to Cardiff from the Reds, but had to be out for five months from the squad due to a hip injury.
He however looks to have recovered in time to feature in the FA Cup Final at Wembley against Portsmouth.
"Bearing in mind the season I've had, scoring the winner in an FA Cup final would be fairytale stuff," said Fowler.
"But I'd settle for any of the Cardiff boys scoring the winner."
Fowler last appeared for the Bluebirds against Bristol City on December 15 by coming on as a substitute. However due to his injury he has been able to just make 13 starts for his side.
"It's been difficult watching the team get to the final when I haven't been involved," said Fowler.
"But I've trained hard and I am naturally desperate to be there.
"If I scored the winner it would be straight out of a Roy of the Rovers comic. But in an ideal world I'd come on when we were 3-0 up!"
