Former Italy National team coach Roberto Donadoni has reportedly been in London on Friday afternoon to hold talks with West Ham United about becoming the new manager at Upton Park, according to Sportsmail online.

44-year-old Donadoni, who was sacked by Italy after his failure to guide the Italians past the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 after two years in charge, was understood to have been spotted at London’s City airport before taking a taxi straight to Upton Park.

Also in the frame for the vacant post is former Hibernian manager John Collins, who is also believed to be having an interview with the Icelandic owner’s of the Hammers today. With it understood that Donadoni and Collins are the only two being considered for the job after favourite Slaven Bilic, who is coach of Croatia ruled himself out of the running.

Alan Curbishley resigned from West Ham earlier this week, due to the sale of defender’s Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney to Sunderland. As the West Ham board sought to balance the books at the East London club.
