Fletcher Eyeing Long Stay At Manchester United After New Deal
Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is ready to render his services to the Premier League Champions for as long as he is wanted after having signed a new four-year deal at Old Trafford.
Ever since his arrival at the Theatre of Dreams in 2001, the 24-year old midfielder has found limited first team chances under manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, with Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes down all injured at the start of the season, Fletcher has been handed five first team starts in the Premiership and has been on the scorecard twice.
The Scottish international told the club's official website: "It's a great honour when you sign a new contract here. It's a fantastic club, the best in the world.
"We're Premier League champions and European champions and here you are always looking to retain those titles. There's no place I'd rather be as long as I'm appreciated by the manager."
