Fiorentina’s Tomas Ujfalusi Snubs Liverpool
Liverpool have been snubbed by Tomas Ujfalusi over a proposed January move, although the Czech Republic defender will be a free agent in the summer.
The 29-year-old will apparently continue at Fiorentina although he is yet to be offered a new deal at the Serie A side.
Nevertheless, he has reportedly turned down a £500,000 move to Anfield, where Rafa Benitez is looking to bring in a defender on priority when the transfer window opens next month.
His agent Pavel Paska said in The Observer: “I have to respect the decision he has made.
“Nevertheless, it has surprised me a lot. Liverpool rarely give this type of offer twice to one player.”
Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Zenit St Petersburg are also reportedly interested in Ujfalusi.
