FC Utrecht Eye Liverpool’s Dutch Striker

Liverpool Premiership Transfer News

Dutch outfit FC Utrecht are considering moving for Liverpool youngster Jordy Brouwer on a season’s deal.

The former Ajax striker Brouwer has been a regular fixture for Reds reserves, but is yet to make the step up to Rafa Benitez’s first-team.

Utrecht technical director Piet Buter told De Telegraaf: “I've spoken to him in England. We said that on 16th August we will see him. If he is good, we want to sign him for perhaps a season."

20-year-old Brouwer, who has represented Holland at Under-19 level, was a key member of Gary Ablett's title-winning team in 2007-08.
