Everton’s Moyes Predicts Hard Time Against Tottenham

Everton Premiership Manager News

Everton boss David Moyes feels 11th-place Tottenham will provide a stern test in Wednesday night’s Premiership clash at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have done well so far in the season and are currently placed fourth, while Spurs have been transformed under Juande Ramos since late last year after a disastrous period from the start of the season up till the Spaniard took up the reigns at White Hart Lane from Martin Jol late October.

“We know were in for a hard time as they’re going well just now,” Moyes said on the club’s official website.

Spurs made it to the Carling Cup final by beating Arsenal in the second-leg semis while the Toffees were knocked out by Chelsea at the same stage.

“I hoped it’d be a warm up for the cup final but it wasn’t to be. We know Tottenham are going well and they’ve got good players but we’ve been playing very well this season so we’ll just keep on doing what were doing.”

On Ramos, Moyes said: “I think he took over a very good bunch of players.

“I don’t think there’s been an awful lot of changes to the team that Martin Jol had, but maybe he’s changed the style that they are playing and the way he’s changing things around behind the scenes will help bring Ramos the success that he had at Sevilla.
“But last time out we played very well and it gave us a lot of confidence but we know we’re going to have to play very well again.”
