Everton Linked With Celtic’s McDonald As Johnson’s Replacement?
Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly keen to sign Scott McDonald as Andy Johnson continues to be linked with a move out of Goodison Park this summer.
The News of the World reports that Moyes feels the 24-year-old prolific Celtic man is the ideal replacement for the England international, who is linked with Sunderland and Wigan.
Johnson is said to be unsettled after he fell down in the pecking order at the Merseyside club following last summer’s arrival of Nigerian hit-man Yakubu.
However, the Toffees boss has dismissed the speculation that the 27-year-old former Crystal Palace star is for sale. The club rubbished recent reports about a bid being turned down from the Latics.

It would appear no one
It would appear no one bothers with accuracy any more.
All gossip and any rumour seems to be printed regardless of whether it may be true or not.
Scott McDonald of Celtic has just signed a new 5 year deal this month with the club, so any thought of him moving to Everton or any where else is just wishfull thinking.
This is on a par with Aiden McGeady apparently being on the verge of signing for Newcastle one day, and like McDonald, signing a new 5 year deal for Celtic the next!
McGeady one week, McDonald the next.
No chance!
