Everton 2007/08 Premier League Season Run-In Fixtures: Toffees Face Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa & Chelsea In Final Games
Everton FC’s remaining Premier League match fixtures for the 2007-2008 English Premiership Season.
Everton, who currently lie in 5th place in the Premier League table, are seeking a coveted 4th place finish in the league to seal a place in the Champions League next season, with Toffees boss David Moyes hoping to improve on their 6th place finish last season.
Moyes said: "We really enjoyed being in Europe this term, and we were gutted when we went out. But that showed me that we want more of it, we need more of it.
"We would really want to be in the 'big' competition now having had a run in the UEFA Cup.
"And there's a lot of things that can still change, with some strange results. But the Premier League has been like that this season at different times.
"It is a very exciting division, with as many as eight at the bottom fighting to avoid relegation, four or so at the top who are desperate to be in the Champions League and a few in the middle chasing Europe.
"We have four at home and three away, so I have to make sure that we win the majority of those at home and pick up some away."
Everton’s next match is in the Merseyside Derby against 4th placed Liverpool at Anfield before facing relegation doomed Derby County at Goodison Park.
Everton face three tough matches as the seaon comes to a close, with The Toffees hosting Premier League contenders Chelsea at home on April 19th, then Aston Villa on Sunday 27th April before travelling to The Emirates Stadium to face title challengers Arsenal.
Everton’s final match of the 2007/08 Premier League season is at home against Newcastle United on May 11.
