Stoke City’s Liam Lawrence could miss the match against Portsmouth as he has injured his ankle after tripping over his dog.
The incident occurred yesterday morning, where the 26-year-old former Sunderland midfielder was immediately rushed to the hospital for an X-ray.
Manager Tony Pulis said: "He tells me he was walking down the stairs and tried to step over his dog when he's gone over on his ankle.
"I don't think there is anything broken but we'll see how long he's out for."
