Chris Eagles Delighted to be Involved in Manchester United First Team - Eagles Reveals Win Against Tottenham Brought Relief
Manchester United winger Chris Eagles has expressed his delight at getting first-team chance in Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Eagles, who has one competitive goal to his credit for the Red Devils from 4-2 win against Everton in April, was in fine shape in pre-season and earned a place in Ferguson's scheme of things.
He has so far been a part of three of the four Premiership matches of Manchester United.
"It's brilliant to be involved in any game for the first team," he told MUTV. "To be part of the set-up week in, week out at this level is fantastic.
"The game is so quick in the Premier League and whenever you play you have to be able to adapt to the pace of the game immediately.
"I'm proud to be at this club and pleased to be involved - I'm enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully I can play my part in helping the team be successful again this season."
The 21-year-old revealed how important Sunday's win, which was the first for United this campaign, at home against Tottenham Hotspur was.
"It was a great relief to get the win," he admitted. "Having seen the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea get off to a good start we knew we had to get the victory.
"The Sunderland match will be another tough one but hopefully we can get the result we need and go on a good run now."
