Aston Villa-Target Sidwell Wants To Hold Talks With Chelsea Boss Scolari
Chelsea’s Steve Sidwell is hoping he will be able to hold talks with new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari soon so as to take a decision on his future with Aston Villa being linked with the midfielder.
The 25-year-old who came to Stamford Bridge from Reading last summer, claimed he wanted to know from the Brazilian about his plans for the next season.
According to reports Chelsea have already accepted a bid from Aston Villa for Sidwell, who is also said to be involved in a pay-off row with the Blues.
Eric Walters, Sidwell's agent, told the Daily Mail: "Steve feels Villa are a very, very good club and would offer a very good future for him.
"But he is in no rush to leave Chelsea. There is a new manager coming in and he would at least like to meet with him over the next couple of weeks to discuss his future in person.
"He is entitled to some compensation if Chelsea agree to part with him."
